Ms. Hauwa Mshelia is a non-executive director on the Board of Directors of ANOH Gas Processing Company Limited (“AGPC”). She was nominated by NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company Limited (“NGIC”), a subsidiary of NNPC Limited and was appointed to the Board of AGPC on the 23rd of March 2024.

Hauwa is the Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer (CSSO) of NNPC. She started her illustrious career in NNPC 24 years ago as a Process Engineer in the refinery. She has grown through the ranks as a Petroleum Economist, Commercial Analyst, Market Intelligence Analyst, Economic Analyst, Strategy & Business Development Analyst. Prior to her appointment as CSSO in November 2023, Hauwa was the Head, Planning & Commercial in NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services.

Hauwa is an alumna of University of Leeds, UK where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. She is also an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Hauwa played a major part of the formulation of the Petroleum Industry Bill prior to its assent to law. She was also a member of the NNPC team that participated in the Presidential Directives on PIA implementation in 2022 – 2023, where she contributed immensely to the industry and reorganization of NNPC Ltd
