Transforming natural gas into sustainable energy solutions.

Delivering sustainable energy solutions that support Nigeria’s economic development and environmental sustainability

ANOH Field

Assa North – Ohaji South (ANOH) is a Greenfield gas development project aimed at supporting the domestic market. The Assa North field is located in block OML 21 and is operated by Shell Petroleum Development Company. The field extends into block OML 53, where it is called Ohaji South and is operated by Seplat Energy Plc. In combination, the unitized field is called ANOH.

Upstream

Although the ANOH gas project managed by AGPC will process the gas from the ANOH field, the upstream development, including the drilling of six production wells, will be delivered by the upstream unit operator SPDC.

ANOH is located in Imo State, close to Owerri, and about 70 km North-West of Port Harcourt.  The ANOH field will be developed by a unit consisting of:

The Nigerian Government holds 57.5%

SEPLAT holds 20%

Shell holds 15%

TOTAL holds 5%

AGIP holds 2.5%

Midstream

The midstream is split in two and one of them will be operated and developed by ANOH Gas Processing Company Ltd. (AGPC). The ANOH field will supply wet gas to the ANOH Gas processing plant for further processing and transportation through the OB3 pipeline.

The received wet gas from the ANOH Field will be processed into dry gas, LPG, and condensate. This will contribute to Nigeria’s transition from small-scale diesel generators to cleaner, less expensive fuels such as natural gas for power generation.

The ANOH field’s development aligns with Nigeria’s vision to support indigenous capacity, local employment, and cleaner generation of power to Nigerian homes and businesses. Furthermore, it demonstrates the Nigerian government’s commitment to the development of the country’s natural resources for the benefit of its citizens.
