Biography
Engr. Audu Ibrahim is a non-executive director on the Board of Directors of ANOH Gas Processing Company Limited (“AGPC”), nominated by NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company Limited (“NGIC”), a subsidiary of NNPC Limited and was appointed to the Board of AGPC on the 17th of September 2025.
Engr. Audu Ibrahim is currently the Managing Director of NGIC, a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of NNPC Limited.
Engr. Audu Ibrahim is a seasoned leader in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, bringing over two decades of robust experience in project delivery, engineering, and infrastructure development.
Prior to his appointment as MD NGIC, Engr. Ibrahim served as the Executive Director, Projects at NGIC from 2022 to 2025, where he oversaw a multibillion-dollar portfolio of strategic gas infrastructure projects. His leadership was instrumental in advancing the delivery of critical natural gas infrastructure projects and expanding Nigeria’s domestic gas transportation capacity with the aim of achieving 4Bscf/d delivery by 2028.
A mechanical engineer by training, Engr. Ibrahim holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master’s degree in Pipeline Engineering from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. His academic grounding is complemented by professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Senior International Project Manager (SIPM), and Fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He is also a COREN-registered engineer and a member of the Society for Underwater Technology (UK).
Engr. Ibrahim began his career at NEPA/PHCN, where he was actively involved in power infrastructure projects and pipeline development for major gas-to-power initiatives. He joined NNPC in 2007, rising through the ranks from Senior Project Engineer to Chief Project Engineer, and later Manager, Engineering & Construction at NGIC. His steady rise was marked by notable achievements, including the successful delivery of gas supply projects to Azura Power Plant, Ogijo City Gate, Olorunsogo PHCN, and United Cement in Calabar, among others.
As ED Projects NGIC, he led the NGIC SCADA Implementation Project, commissioned in June 2023, and played a pivotal role in the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Project, one of Nigeria’s most ambitious energy infrastructure undertakings. His portfolio also includes leadership on the OB3 Project, Escravos–Odidi-Warri pipeline expansion project, and the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline Project.
Beyond his technical expertise, Engr. Ibrahim is recognized for his strategic thinking, business acumen, and collaborative leadership style. He has received multiple commendations from NGIC/NNPC Management, reflecting his consistent delivery on corporate goals and his commitment to excellence.
His experiences have further sharpened his capabilities in navigating complex projects and leading transformative initiatives in Nigeria’s evolving gas sector. In his leisure time, he enjoys health walks and playing badminton and chess.
