Engr. Amaechi Nwogbe (PHD) joins ANOH Gas Processing Company Ltd (AGPC) as the General Manager Operations/Technical on secondment from Seplat Energy Plc. He is an accomplished oil and gas professional with a 25yr + career spanning and oil and gas operations, petroleum engineering, subsurface, drilling and completion, well services and Midstream. He has significant experience in delivering production-based projects including operations readiness, commissioning and delivering quality gas and condensate to customers.

Engr. Amaechi’s career began in the oil and gas service industry, working for Schlumberger (Wireline & Testing) Nig. Ltd as a well test engineer and Dataline Petroleum Services (Weatherford Subtech Limited Nigeria) as Downhole Data acquisition and Well intervention/enhancement. He then transitioned into E&P, joining the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) as a Production Technologist and subsequently Pan Ocean Oil Corporation, as Staff Production Engineering (Production Engineering Coordinator) and then Assistant Manager, Production Operations/Petroleum Engineering responsible for the operations and maintenance of Pan Ocean Oil & Gas Plant between 2007 to 2014.

He joined SEPLAT Petroleum Development Company PLC in 2014 as the Production Facilities Manager, Western Asset and rose to become the Production and Operations Manager, Eastern Asset Onshore and moved to ANOH Gas Processing Company Ltd as General Manager, Operations and Technical till date. He delivered various projects and managed oil and gas Production & Operations including Sapele Gas Plants, Oben Gas Plant, Oben AG Expansion, Oben Booster Station, Sapele West Gas/AG plant, upgrade of Ohaji South and Jisike facilities.

Engr Amaechi holds a B.Eng in Petroleum Engineering from University of Port Harcourt, Masters’ degree (MSc) in Engineering Management from University of Benin and a PhD in Industrial Engineering in University of Benin.

He is a Fellow (FNSE) Nigerian Society of Engineers, Member of the COREN, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Society of Chemical Engineers and others.

He has mentored many young engineers to expert levels, has quality leadership skills, collaboration, and a strong team builder.
