Mr. Ihwiwhu is a graduate of Geology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (2003) and holds an MSC and MBA from University of Southampton, UK (2009) and Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University), UK respectively. He is a certified member of professional bodies, including The Geological Society of London (Fellow), American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG), Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE), Society of exploration Geologist (SEG) and The Mineralogical Society of London.

Mr. Ihwiwhu began his career as a teacher in 2004 after his mandatory National Youth Service Corp program before moving on to Degeconek Nigeria Limited in 2007, as a Geoscientist. He advanced through various challenging roles including the delivery of Seismic data interpretation, reservoir characterization & modelling and Training of younger Geologists.

In 2011, he joined Seplat Energy PLC as a production Geologist where he excelled in multiple strategic positions such as Senior Production Geologist, Executive Assistant and Business Advisor to the Chairman of the Board, Planning Manager (Strategy, Planning & Business development directorate) and now the General Manager, Commercial & Planning, AGPC.

With a career spanning about 20 years in the oil & Gas sector, Mr. Ihwiwhu has garnered extensive knowledge in drilling wells and driving oil & gas industry development plans and strategies. He has a passion for young people’s development, and he is a table tennis enthusiast. He is married to Abiola and together they have 3 children.
