AGPC Commissions New Police Operational Base in Assa Community, Imo State

Assa North–Ohaji South Gas Processing Company (AGPC) has officially commissioned a newly constructed Police Operational Base in Assa Community, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.

The project, fully funded and delivered by AGPC through the Global Memorandum of Understanding (GMOU) with its host communities, underscores the company’s strong commitment to security, peacebuilding, and sustainable community development.

The new Police Operational Base is expected to significantly strengthen security infrastructure within the Assa community and surrounding areas by enhancing security presence, improving response times, and supporting ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, representatives of AGPC reaffirmed the company’s dedication to implementing strategic community development initiatives that deliver long-term value and foster strong, collaborative partnerships with host communities and key stakeholders.

AGPC expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Assa community, as well as the security agencies, whose cooperation and support were instrumental to the successful completion of the project.
